Russell Stock return helps Lowestoft boss Ady Gallagher
Ady Gallagher has set his sights on winning promotion this season
Lowestoft Town joint-boss Ady Gallagher hopes that striker Russell Stock can rekindle his old form for the club.
Stock scored 71 goals in 184 games for Town before leaving in the summer of 2009, but has made the switch back from Kirkley & Pakefield.
Young midfielder Ian Dawson has also made the same move from the Royals to Crown Meadow.
"I think Stock's going to be great for us, it's great to have him back," Gallagher told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"He'll enable us to bring players into the game in the final third. We've felt this year that sometimes this season we haven't really done that."
You don't want to be hindered in your home games by your own pitch, it's something the club is working hard to improve

The Trawlerboys' Ryman League Cup fixture with Cheshunt on Thursday has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, meaning that Gallagher's side are next in action when they travel to AFC Hornchurch on Saturday.
A victory for Lowestoft would see them leapfrog their opponents into fifth place in the Ryman Premier.
But the away fixture also gives the Crown Meadow pitch time to recover after feeling the effects of the winter conditions.
"The pitch is bobbly and we haven't been able to do as much work on it because of the weather," Gallagher added.
"It doesn't help players who want to run and pass the ball and doesn't suit our style of play.
"You don't want to be hindered in your home games by your own pitch.
"It's something the club are working hard to improve but a couple of away games will give us a bit of time."
