Lowestoft Town boss Ady Gallagher puts faith in team

Gallagher's side are seventh in the Ryman Premier

Lowestoft Town joint-manager Ady Gallagher says he is not looking to add depth to his squad - but could be tempted to add more quality.

Town are braced for a fixture build-up after not playing a Ryman Premier game since 13 November.

But Gallagher told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We've got a lot of faith in the squad, I feel it's a very strong squad.

"If the right player came along that we felt would improve the squad then we'd consider that option as well."

A run to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, combined with ongoing success in the FA Trophy and the Isthmian League Cup, have put the Blues' four games and 10 points adrift of league leaders Sutton United.

Lowestoft can put themselves top of the pile if they win all of their games in hand, but Gallagher knows that is easier said than done.

"I think we've got a squad that can compete right through the league, you just need a bit of luck sometimes," he said.

"You could have the best squad in the league but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to win the league.

"We're happy with our squad but the proof will be in our final league position at the end of the season."
