Dartford manager Tony Burman is hoping that new signing Jon Main will help them avoid relegation.
The Darts currently lie 20th in the Blue Square Bet South, two points adrift of safety.
Main, 29, has joined on a one-month loan from AFC Wimbledon, having scored 61 goals in 117 appearances for the Dons since joining the club in 2007.
"We all know he can score goals and I hope he can do that for us," Burman told BBC Radio Kent.
"We've hit a little bit of a blip at the moment but we've got to keep being confident and positive.
"Jon wanted to come to us and I'm really pleased because he only lives 10 minutes from the ground.
"What is nice is that there were a lot of clubs who came in for Jon, clubs who could match what he gets at Wimbledon.
"We couldn't do that, but Wimbledon have helped me out which I'm delighted about."
Main is expected to make his Dartford debut when they entertain Staines on Tuesday.
The former Tonbridge Angels man was also wanted by Ebbsfleet, but financial constraints prevented United taking him to Stonebridge Road.
"I couldn't afford Jon Main," said Fleet boss Liam Daish.
"I brought two lads in in Ryan Blake and Conor Okus but I just couldn't afford the Jon Mains of this world.
"I needed to strengthen in numbers and not just put all my eggs in one basket."
