Dartford's Tony Burman wants his side to control games
Burman says his team need to believe in their ability more
Dartford manager Tony Burman says he wants more effort from his players - following their frustrating start to life in Blue Square Bet South.
Having been the runaway winners of the Ryman League last season, the Darts are currently 17th in the table.
"The league is your bread and butter and we're at the wrong end of the table and it hasn't been good enough," Burman told BBC Radio Kent.
"I've got good players here but they've got to perform and get points."
Burman boosted his squad last week by bringing in York City striker George Purcell on loan, and he scored a spectacular equaliser on his debut against Woking.
"We brought George in to freshen things up a little bit but there may be one or two more," said Burman.
"I want to see us take the bull by the horns and control these games and do ourselves a bit of justice.
"We have got some good players but we have to turn the performances into points."
