Burman says his team need to believe in their ability more

Dartford manager Tony Burman believes his side will be promotion contenders this season despite their indifferent start in Blue Square Bet South.

The Darts were the runaway winners of the Ryman League last season, but find themselves 14th after nine games following their promotion.

"Obviously it has taken quite a long time to gel - a bit too long for my liking," Burman told BBC Radio Kent.

"But we're going to be there or there abouts that's for sure."

Burman added: "I feel we need to have a little bit more belief and that's not quite going for us at the moment.

"I feel sure that we're going to improve a hell of a lot once we get the belief in the side."
