Martin Hayes previously managed Bishops Stortford in Blue Square South
Dover Athletic striker Adam Birchall scored a hat trick as they beat Farnborough 6-3.
Martin Hayes' men were twice behind, at 1-0 and 2-1, before scoring five times in a frantic second half.
Manager Hayes told BBC Radio Kent: "I hate those games. I haven't got the hairline. Second half, it became a day for attacking football."
Ebbsfleet and Welling also won, while Dartford and Bromley fought out a 2-2 draw in the derby at Princes Park.
Maidstone United grabbed their first win of the season, 1-0 at Kingstonian in the Ryman Premier Division.
And Tonbridge recovered from last week's shock FA Cup defeat to Guildford City by winning 2-1 at Concord Rangers.
Lee Browning and Frannie Collin were the men on target.
Sittingbourne had the best result in Ryman South as they won 2-0 at Godalming Town, while Faversham avoided a fourth straight defeat as they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Worthing.
Four Kent league clubs won in the FA Vase, Greenwich, Corinthian, Lordswood and Tunbridge Wells all coming through their second qualifying round ties.
