Late goal from Nuneaton denies Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver described their 2-1 defeat at home to Nuneaton as "a kick in the face".

After going behind to a Mark Noon goal, Graeme Armstrong levelled with a penalty when Nuneaton goal keeper Danny Alcock was sent off.

However Town keeper Jordan Myers also got a red card in time added on and Kyle Storer's penalty won the game.

Weaver told BBC Radio York: "It's very hard to take when we justifiably got back into the game."

Weaver went on: "It's another game, after the long absence due to the snow, of showing great character and spirit and showing that we've come a long way even since the early part of the season.

"The difference in attitude to when we were at their ground is massive. It's disappointing to lose last minute but we're looking forward to the Stafford game already.

"I believe with this team now we can go from strength to strength. It's a positive mindset in there and there's a belief.

"I think we can press on. We need three points on Tuesday and we're going to go full out for the three points."
