Tadcaster Albion aim for promotion to Northern Premier
Marshall has led Tadcaster to the highest position in their history
Tadcaster Albion are building a serious promotion challenge in only their first season in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
They are third in the table and manager Paul Marshall told BBC Radio York they have the potential to climb higher.
"It's starting to look that way," he said. "We've beaten the top three so there's no reason why we can't push on.
"People are looking at us thinking we mean business. Our chairman is keen for us to go for it."
Marshall added: "As I said at the start of the season, we want to be competitive and we've been more than competitive and that's still my target, to finish in the top five or six."
If we're top of the league, we'll be going for promotion and the ground will be up to standard

The next step in the non-league pyramid is the Northern Premier League and Marshall said he is confident Tadcaster would meet the entry requirements if necessary.
"I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes at Tadcaster. We've come a long way over the past two years and there's still a lot to do.
"The ground would need certain things doing to it but it's not out of the way really. We could do it if we're in that position.
"We've applied for it so if we're top of the league we'll be going for promotion and the ground will be up to standard. "
