Harrogate boss Simon Weaver sees improvement in defeat
Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver praised his side's commitment after their 1-0 defeat at Guiseley.
Joe O'Neill's goal moved Guiseley to the top of Blue Square Bet North, while Harrogate slip to 14th.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "I thought the performance was far better than the last couple that we've seen.
"The commitment level was superb, and every time we train and turn up for a game we have to be so focussed and give absolutely everything."
Weaver continued: "The tackles were flying in, we were an aerial threat at set pieces, we got in their faces and Guiseley are a very well respected team.
"A lot of managers said it would be a difficult game and I thought we stopped them playing."
Harrogate's next game is at home to Stalybridge in Blue Square Bet North on 3 January.
Weaver added that although his young side played well, he might have to consider making some changes.
"There are some tired limbs out there so we might have to shake it up a bit," he said.
"It's a difficult one because you've got to get the right balance.
"You don't want to upset the lads either because they'll all look to be playing because they've done a really good shift."
