Gateshead 0-3 York City

Three second-half goals saw York pick up a routine win over 10-man Gateshead.

The visitors' task was made somewhat easier when former York winger Craig Nelthorpe was sent off after half an hour for a foul on Ashley Chambers.

Jonathan Smith opened the scoring with a tap-in from close range, before Neil Barrett doubled the lead from the edge of the area.

The Tynesiders had Phil Turnbull strike a post before Leon Constantine sealed the win with another simple finish.
