Harrogate Town win to delight manager Simon Weaver
Goals from Richard Pell and Graeme Armstrong eased Harrogate Town to a 2-0 win over Stalybridge Celtic in Blue Square Bet North.
It was the first league game at the CNG Stadium since the start of November.
Town manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "Stalybridge hammered us twice last year and we've done the double over them. It's superb for us.
"I think we got the result we were really keen on getting. It was a fantastic performance."
He continued: "I thought it was going to be a tricky game today on the back of a 1-0 defeat away at Guiseley because I thought we'd have tired legs and we're part-time."
Weaver said the performance of goalscorer Pell was one of the key differences between the sides.
"Some people can't handle him. They look at the sheer size of him and are dominated by it," he said.
"It's all about getting the right players around him and I think the whole of the back four and the keeper give him confidence to do what he does well."
Harrogate Town's next game is at Eastwood Town in Blue Square Bet North on Saturday.
