First-half brace secures Worcester City a derby victory
Worcester City recorded their fifth successive victory as they beat Gloucester City 2-0 in the Blue Square Bet North match at St George's Lane.
Marc McGregor set Worcester on their way on 39 minutes when he turned and fired home from inside the area.
Carl Heeley's side doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time, as Danny Glover headed home from close range.
Glover capitalised after Mark Danks had chipped the goalkeeper, only to see his effort come back off the cross bar.
Worcester manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I don't think it was a classic, as it was a typical local derby and fiercely competitive.
"It was stop-start throughout the game with lots of little petty fouls, and we found it difficult to get any rhythm.
"But that said, we have been off for two weeks and we have carried on our run with another win."
