Woking manager Graham Baker says the club's fans must look to the future.

The Cards won the FA Trophy three times in the mid-1990s and spent 17 years in the non-league's top flight before being relegated in 2009.

Baker told BBC Surrey: "We've got a great history but maybe we have a fault at this club where we keep looking back all the time.

"Sometimes you've got to put that to bed and say this is a new era and take a look at where the club is now."

He added: "We should look to build and make history in the future."

Woking currently lie 13th in Blue Square Bet South, but have the opportunity to make strides up the table with a busy Christmas schedule of four games in nine days.

"We've got a heavy Christmas and New Year period," said Baker. "We haven't got massive numbers of players but we've got a bit of variety to change personnel if people stay fit.

"We can even have a change of system if we need it."
