 Right-arm seamer Jordan has taken 45 wickets in 21 first-class matches |
Surrey all-rounder Chris Jordan has returned to training after missing the whole of the 2010 season with a stress fracture of the back. The 22-year-old, who was born in Barbados, has not played first-class cricket since September 2009. He told the club website: "It's been very frustrating but the positive going forward is that I've come to know my body a lot better. "After all that training and all the rehab I've come out mentally stronger." Jordan added: "I was a great relief to find out what the problem was because it had been going on for 18 months. "I was really happy that it was identified and what I needed to do going forward and the areas I needed to strengthen. Hopefully we can get on with it now."
