I'm committed to Alfreton Town - Nicky Law

Law's men have won six out of six away league games

Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law says he is committed to staying at the Blue Square Bet North leaders despite interest from teams in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

The Reds top the table on goal difference and have three games in hand on second-placed Guiseley.

Law told BBC Radio Derby: "I feel there is a job that hasn't been completed.

"We have put a lot of work in over the last three years and I owe it to the club, chairman, fans and the players I've been working with to stay."

Former Chesterfield and Bradford boss Law guided the Reds to the play-off final last season and his side have been sensational so far this term.

It would take something very special to tempt me away from that

They have won 12 of their 14 league games - losing just once - and are already hot favourites to gain promotion.

Chairman Wayne Bradley says he has been approached from three Blue Square Bet Premier teams and says he is delighted Law, who nearly left the Impact Arena in 2008, is staying put.

"Perhaps if it was a Championship side he would jump at it," Bradley said. "But the bottom line is he has turned down Blue Square Premier Division clubs to nail his colours to the mast of Alfreton Town and we are obviously delighted."

Law added: "I could just walk away and go to a job in a higher division just because that is where I want to be. But I aim to get there anyway - with Alfreton.

"I don't want to sound corny but I work for a great chairman and a good football club and it would take something very special to tempt me away from that."
