Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has agreed to face the fans in a forum after being denied the chance to become the new boss at Bradford Park Avenue.

The Yorkshire club named Law as their manager on Monday unaware he had signed a three-year contract at the Impact Arena last May.

The Reds' chairman Wayne Bradley admits Law has got some explaining to do.

"Nicky has been incredibly naive in the error of his actions which border on stupidity," he told the club's website.

"He has to learn how to conduct himself in the future.

The fans will have their day and their say and they will be encouraged to ask the questions and get their answers

"I have spoken to him and met with him and he totally recognises he has been a fool and that it is of paramount importance that he rebuilds the bridges that need to be rebuilt.

"We will begin to do that by putting on an open forum for the fans to get some answers.

Law was in charge of Bradford City when they were in the Championship from January 2002 until November 2003, winning 23 of his 87 games.

After leaving Valley Parade, he had a short spell in charge of Grimsby Town.
