Nicky Law warns Alfreton Town against complacency

Alfreton Town

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has warned his side they cannot afford to wallow in the glory of their blistering start to the season.

The Reds sit top of the Blue Square Bet North table, level on points with Guiseley but with two games in hand.

Law said: "We are ten points better off than this time last year. We have had a great start - the players are positive and have put in a great effort.

"But, and it is a very big but, the hard work is still to come."

Alfreton, who progressed to the first round proper of the FA Trophy with a 4-0 victory over Kendal Town last Saturday, return to league action this Saturday when they are away against Corby Town.

Law added: "This league doesn't start for me until Christmas and January time.

"We may have overcome the problem of the starts of the past few campaigns, but we now have to make sure we have a good middle and a good end."
