Adam Proudlock double leads AFC Telford to victory
Proudlock (l) has scored four goals in two games
AFC Telford United bounced back from their first league defeat of the season at the weekend to beat Droylsden 4-2 at the Butcher's Arms.
Carl Rodgers opened the scoring with a volley from 25 yards before Adam Proudlock notched a quick-fire double from close range.
A superb glancing header from James Lawrie was enough for Telford to hold off a Droylsden comeback.
"It's a great three points," manager Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I thought we stopped them playing. We looked a threat and scored some good goals. It keeps us right in there where we need to be and I'm very pleased and proud of the players," Sinton added.
Telford jumped to third place in the Blue Square Bet North after the win, putting the disappointing defeat at the hands of Solihull on Saturday behind them.
Boss Sinton was quick to highlight striker Adam Proudlock's impact since joining the Bucks, scoring four goals in the last two games.
"He's been superb, he's getting better, stronger and he'll score a lot of goals at this level," he added.
