Adam Proudlock happy to continue playing at AFC Telford
Proudlock played with Telford United boss Andy Sinton in his days at Wolves
Adam Proudlock is happy to remain at AFC Telford United for the foreseeable future after rescuing his football career at the Bucks Head.
The 29-year-old former Wolves striker was without a club after leaving Grimsby in the summer following their relegation from the Football League.
But he was taken on at Telford by his old Wolves team-mate Andy Sinton.
"I'm really enjoying the feel of playing again," Proudlock told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"It was really frustrating sitting around at home.
"But the lads and the coaching staff have been great with me.
"Fingers crossed, if the club's going forward as I think it should, I can't see any problem about staying."
Proudlock admits that he is still short of full fitness. But, after initially being used from the bench, he scored in last week's FA Cup third qualifying round defeat by Buxton.
And he played again four days later in Saturday's 0-0 Blue Square Bet North draw at Alfreton.
"He's a great addition for us," said Sinton. "I can't wait to see him when he's fully match fit, which we're working hard on.
"He's got great quality, great awareness and a great touch."
Having come through the ranks in 1998, spurred on by a successful early season loan spell in Scotland with Clyde, Proudlock made a big impact in his first campaign in 2000/01, hitting 11 goals.
But he lost his way at Molineux and was to score in just three more matches before being offloaded by Dave Jones in September 2003 for £150,000 to Sheffield Wednesday.
He spent two years at Hillsborough before being signed by Ipswich, followed by moves to Stockport, Darlington and Grimsby, where his six goals in 46 games were unable to save them from relegation.
He also had loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Tranmere Rovers in a league career that brought him 47 goals in 266 appearances.
