Worcester City beat bottom club Hyde to record their first Blue Square Bet North win since August.
City went in front on 29 minutes when Kevin O'Connor set up midfield partner Tom Thorley, who found the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Neil Cartwright doubled City's lead midway through the second half when his shot deflected in off keeper Saunders.
Things got worse for the home side when Michael Taylor was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident.
Victory lifted City into the Blue Square Bet North top 10, now eight points clear of danger.
