Woking's Craig Faulconbridge targets starting place
Faulconbridge has had spells with Wrexham and Wycombe
Woking striker Craig Faulconbridge hopes to force his way into the starting line-up after opening his account for the season.
The 32-year-old came off the bench to hit a brace in Saturday's 2-0 win over Basingstoke Town.
He told BBC Surrey: "I was waiting for the opportunity to come on and show the gaffer [Graham Baker] what I can do.
"Hopefully I've given him a decision to make. He'll have some good options next week to go forward."
Faulconbridge believes their next match against Welling will give an indication of Woking's potential in Blue Square Bet South after a run of one defeat in six games.
"It'll be a real opportunity to build on the confidence we've gained in the last two games," he said.
"We've shown in the first couple of games this season that when we have been challenged we come a little bit short.
"Those questions about how far we've come in the last three weeks will be asked next weekend."
