Woking manager Graham Baker wants patience from fans

Woking manager Graham Baker has said the club's fans must be patient with the performances of his team.

The Cards currently lie 15th in the Blue Square Bet South table after two wins from their opening six matches.

"The problem we've got here is the expectation of the supporters," he told BBC Surrey.

"But sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and actually see where your club is financially and where your club is at the moment."

He added: "The history of here is massive and there's always pressure on Woking players to win games and achieve and chase play-offs and championships.

"That's just the nature of the club and the nature of our supporters.

"And that's fine - I don't want to be the manager of a club with no ambition. But we haven't got the best squad in the league, we haven't got the highest earners in the league.

"We can't go and replace player for player and pay the biggest salaries.

"That's just where we are as a club at the moment, and we've just got to get the best out of the players that we've got."
