Woking manager Graham Baker is tipping last year's beaten play-off finalists to challenge strongly for promotion again from Blue Square Bet South.
Ahead of the Cards' campaign opener at home to Dover on Saturday, Baker said: "You start all the expectancy again that this is going to be your season.
"You get that little bit of adrenaline. And I think the fans are optimistic in what they've seen pre-season.
"But, if we can repeat what we did last year then I'll be more than happy."
Due to budget constraints, Woking have switched to part-time football during the close season - and Baker admits that some squad members have had to adjust.
"It's a change for the boys who've stayed on board from last season," he said. "But we've taken a lot of part-time boys on.
"We've probably got about two thirds that are used to that routine and about a third that have got to adapt."
