Rob Scott praises his Boston United battlers

Rob Scott
Scott has seen the Pilgrims win five out of seven games so far

Joint Boston boss Rob Scott believes the Pilgrims look a better side than at this stage last season.

Boston are fourth in Blue Square Bet North after losing just once in their opening seven games.

Speaking after Saturday's 0-0 draw at fellow top six side Corby, Scott said: "Everybody worked their socks off and proved again we're a tough cookie.

"Seven games in we haven't done anything yet, but what we have done is improve on last season."," he added.

"What we've got is a group of players who want to play for the club. When fans reflect they haven't got three points, what they've got is a bunch of lads who will keep running, tackling, heading and working because they play for Boston United and that's a big thing.

"It's not about finances, it's about playing at a nice place and playing for a big club that wants to go somewhere. That takes hard work, endeavour and desire and allied to that we've got a great attitude."
