Lincs collapse to defeat in MCCA Championship final

Lincolnshire slumped to a 135-run defeat by Dorset after being dismissed for 118 in their second innings in the MCCA Championship final.

Chasing 254 to win at Bournemouth, Lincs were reduced to 44-4 before captain Paul Cook (18) and Liam Andrews (35) put on 54 for the fifth wicket.

But four further wickets fell to leave them struggling on 113-8 at lunch.

Spinner Jack Leach took the final two wickets within six overs after lunch to finish with figures of 6-21.

Lincolnshire's Vikram Atri won the man of the match award for his first innings of 118.

Dorset 245 (Treagus 80no; Houston 5-52) & 262 (Denham 71)

Lincs 254 (Atri 118) & 118 (Leach 6-21)

Dorset win by 135 runs.
