Lincoln City winger Mustapha Carayol has said his performance in the defeat against Chesterfield was not of a good enough standard.
City could not force an equaliser despite Celtic loanee Ben Hutchinson's 88th-minute goal.
Carayol told BBC Lincolnshire: "Obviously, I always have high expectations of myself. I lost the ball too often and we dropped too deep."
He added: "It was a bad performance. We have to learn from this."
The defeat leaves Lincoln in 18th in the table, with only four points and a solitary victory away at Gillingham.
