Lewes defender Chris Breach says their policy of blooding young players in the first team will aid the club's development in the long term.
Of the Rooks XI which finished their 2-1 defeat by Woking on Tuesday, midfielder Simon Wormull was the only player over the age of 25.
Breach told BBC Sussex: "At the end of the day they are all taught to play the way that we want to.
"If we can bring them through as a group it will help us in the long run."
He added: "They'll be used to playing together and know each other's games. The future looks bright."
Breach wants the club to repeat their form from the tail end of last season, when they successfully avoided relegation from the Blue Square Bet South after five wins and a draw from their last eight matches.
"We had a disappointing season from our own perspective last year," he said.
"Towards the end of the season we pushed on and played like we should have done all season. Hopefully we can push on and do well this this year."
Lewes welcome Dover to the Dripping Pan on Saturday.
