AFC Telford survived the 12th-minute dismissal of goalkeeper Ryan Young to win 1-0 at Vauxhall Motors in the Blue Square Bet North.
Young contested the red card for picking up a through ball for Motors' Obi Anorou just outside his box.
The 10-man Bucks took the lead on the half-hour, Sean Newton whipping the ball in for Andy Brown to head home.
Motors were also reduced to 10 men late on when Tom Grice was sent off for an off-the-ball incident.
"If you're going to be successful, you have to come to places like this and dig in and dig deep," boss Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Reserve keeper Daniel Platt, 18, took Young's place, at the expense of outfield player Jon Adams, and pulled off a number of crucial saves on his debut, most notably from Anorou in the second half.
Telford have now won both their opening league games, after thrashing Hyde 5-0 at the weekend.
