Chelmsford City have made their first signing of the summer by swooping to sign Sam Higgins from East Thurrock.
Higgins was the leading goalscorer in the Ryman Division One North this season, netting 36 times.
The 19-year-old was on the youth books of Millwall and Southend, and has also played for Bishop's Stortford.
Clarets boss Glenn Pennyfather said: "Sam is an exciting prospect for our club, he is a hard-working boy with good feet and link-up play."
