Aveley manager Alan Kimble covets Crazy Gang spirit
Kimble made over 200 appearances for Wimbledon
Aveley boss Alan Kimble says he wants to re-create the spirit of Wimbledon's Crazy Gang in his new job.
Kimble, who spent 10 seasons as a player at the Dons, was appointed into his first managerial role last month.
He told BBC Essex: "Team spirit is a big thing in a football club. We (Wimbledon) were always the underdog but we didn't worry about that.
"I just hope I can bring some those Crazy Gang days and that team spirit to Aveley Football Club."
Kimble, a former assistant manager at Ebbsfleet, says he cannot wait to take charge of his first game at the Ryman Premier Division club.
"I'm an Essex boy through and through and its given me the opportunity to get my first managerial job," he said.

"I feel I'm ready, I've been out of football for a year and I was itching to get back in."
The 43-year-old says he came close to getting a number of jobs before finally landing the role at Aveley.
"I got down to the final two at Grays, Welling and Weymouth and I just hope I've got a great opportunity at Aveley," he said.
He added he is still in touch with some of his old team-mates: "I speak to John Hartson, Vinny Jones by e-mail, Dean Holdsworth's done a fantastic job at Newport.
"There's a lot of people I can contact to help out if I need any advice."
Kimble's first job will be to re-build the Aveley squad after five players left the club to join former boss Rod Stringer at Braintree last month.
Meanwhile, Kimble's side will host his former side Ebbsfleet in a friendly on 13 July.
