Clegg spent three seasons at City before joining Hinckley in 2008

Midfielder George Clegg is set to return to former club Worcester City for pre-season training in July.

The 29-year-old former Manchester United trainee spent three seasons at City before joining Hinckley in 2008.

Clegg was one of several northern-based players who left due to the club's move from the Blue Square North to South.

"He's got great quality and his attitude is first class," City manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

Heeley, who admits his side must improve on last season's third-from-bottom finish, says he will not wait around too long for answers from his potential targets.

He said: "I'm being patient, but on same score I don't want to be held to ransom or miss out on targets because I've give people too much time."
