Worcester City agree terms with four more squad members

Worcester City manager Carl Heeley has agreed new contracts with four more members of last season's squad.

Midfielder Matt Birley, striker Rob Elvins and defenders Shabir Khan and Graham Ward will all stay on.

But goalkeeper Jake Meredith is on the look out for a new club after Heeley opted not to offer him new terms.

Gary Walker, Mark Clyde and Jason Pike have already agreed new contracts for the 2010-11 season as Heeley looks to rebuild after a disappointing campaign.

Worcester City finished in the Blue Square South relegation places but it is expected they will survive at this level for next season due to the number of clubs dropping out of the Conference.

However Heeley's side is likely to play in the Blue Square North, as the majority of clubs being relegated from the Blue Square Premier are southern-based.
