Yarmouth players celebrate clinching the First Division title
Great Yarmouth Town put the icing on their celebratory cake by clinching the Ridgeons First Division title at the weekend.
Having already secured promotion to the Premier, The Bloaters won 3-2 at Whitton United on the final day of the campaign to take the Championship.
It means Paul Tong's side end the season with a tally of 90 points, having suffered only two defeats.
FC Clacton and Brantham Athletic will join them in the Premier having finished second and third respectively.
Congratulations also go to Blofield United.
The Beavers retained the Senior Knock-Out Cup at Trafford Park on Monday with a penalty shoot-out win over Norfolk Senior Cup Winners Mattishall.
The game ended 2-2 after extra time, and having stunned favourites Norwich United in similar fashion at Carrow Road, a lot of money would have been on Mattishall repeating their heroics.
Blofield though held their nerve and can now concentrate on yet another piece of silverware.
Having already won the Don Frost Cup at the start of the season, they are also in the running for league honours in the Anglian Combination Premier.
With the majority of domestic matters now out of the way, attention of course now turns to the Wroxham's Wembley date in the F.A.Vase Final this Sunday.
The players have a few days rest from competitive action but will have a couple of training session as final preparations are put in place.
Exciting times and something BBC Radio Norfolk is certainly looking forward to.
