The tapes go up at the Norfolk Arena as the King's Lynn Stars take on the Somerset Rebels on Wednesday 29 March, 2010 (Photos by Phil Daley)
Knowing the Stars need a win to stand any chance of making the semi-finals of the Premier Trophy, Linus Eklov takes time to focus on the job in hand
Young Danish rider Casper Wortmann finishes in the points three times out of his four rides, clocking up eight points for the Stars
With captain Tomas Topinka out with a broken leg and Jo Haines also sidelined, the Stars drafted in Ty Proctor as a guest rider and enforced the rider replacement system
Ty Proctor and Darren Mallett take heat six with a first and second place - Mallett finished the evening with two second places and two thirds
Knowing his side need to win the meeting by seven points or more to stand any chance of reaching the next stage of the competition, team manager Rob Lyon constantly checks the results
With many races at the Norfolk Arena being dominated by King's Lynn, some fans are shocked to see Somerset push the Stars so close. Rebels number two Jordan Frampton finishes with 15 points
With the result in the balance, a team meeting to decide who would ride in the last heat is critical. Stand-in captain Kevin Doolan, Ty Proctor and Rob Lyon get their heads together
Despite neither Proctor or Doolan winning the final heat, second and third is enough to secure the victory required. The pair celebrate in front of the home crowd
Doolan finishes the meeting with 13 points, while Proctor secures 10 for his team. Despite the win, the Stars will have to rely on other results going their way if they are to make it through to the finals
