Rob Scott thought Boston were worth the win on their second half display.
Boston United joint manager Rob Scott heaped praise on his side after a 2-1 home win over UniBond Premier leaders Guiseley kept their title hopes alive.
Spencer Weir-Daley scored in injury time to clinch victory for second-placed Boston in front of a gate of 1,604, their biggest of the season.
Boston had trailed 1-0 at half-time to a 29th minute James Walshaw penalty.
But, with 10 minutes left, Danny Sleath levelled, also from the spot, before Weir-Daley's stoppage-time winner.
Scott told BBC Lincolnshire: "In the second half we had them exactly where we wanted them.
"They'd gone - they were dead on their feet.
"The pressure that we played at, the tempo in the second half is what we asked them to do in the first half, but we didn't.
"We let them dictate a little bit in the first half, but second half there were no complaints."
Boston are now three points off Guiseley, but the leaders have a game in hand on the Pilgrims, as do Bradford Park Avenue who are third on goal difference.
