An abject performance by Worcester saw them slip to defeat in the relegation fight against Lewes.
First-half goals from Rob Gradwell and Steve Brinkhurst set Lewes on the way towards a vital victory.
City gave themselves a lifeline when Matt Dinsmore pulled a goal back 14 minutes from time.
Lewes saw out the game relatively comfortably to move back to within two points of City with two games in hand in the Blue Square South.
Worcester City manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "I was never convinced that we looked like getting back into the game and the goals we conceded were again just schoolboy errors.
"I am looking at players there and am seriously questioning their desire.
"I am questioning if they have got any fight or heart because with the exception of Matt Birley today they were woeful."
