Tommy Warrilow praises Tonbridge for grinding out wins
Warrilow took over at Tonbridge in November 2007
Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow says his team's ability to win despite playing poorly could be crucial in the scramble to reach the Ryman Premier play-offs.
Warrilow's side won 2-0 against Waltham Forest on Saturday to ensure a fifth straight victory and extend their unbeaten run to nine matches.
"We're showing we can grind out results when we have to," Warrilow told BBC Radio Kent.
"And at this time of the season, winning is everything."
Warrilow added: "I'll admit that we're not playing as well as we were at the start of the season.
"But we're showing we can win ugly. It's nice to know we can do that when we have to."
The victory takes Tonbridge to fifth place in the Ryman Premier table, a point clear of sixth-placed Hastings.
