Dartford need just 14 points from their last 10 games to win promotion to Blue Square South.

They won 3-0 at home to Maidstone thanks to goals from Danny Dafter, Lee Burns and Ryan Hayes.

Manager Tony Burman told BBC Radio Kent: "I'm pleased for them because it's been a tough week, they've bounced back."

There were also crucial wins for Dover and Folkestone in their respective promotion campaigns.

Dover scored deep into stoppage time through Sammy Moore to earn a 1-0 win over Bromley that puts them fourth in Blue Square South.

Manager Andy Hessenthaler said: "It was a great result, yes we left it late but we deserved to win the game. We hit the bar twice, their keeper had a fantastic first half. Second half we got frustrated and I was sure we would nick a goal."

Welling United are just a point off the play-offs after James Cracknell's hat-trick gave them a 3-1 win over ten man Maidenhead. They have lost just one of their last 14 games.

Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow is not giving up on the play-offs in the Ryman Premier Division, even though they were in the relegation zone a month ago.

Their 3-1 win at Harrow, achieved thanks to goals from Lee Minshull, Phil Starkey and Adam Burchall, puts them eighth in the table.

Warrilow said: "This is always a difficult place to come but I cannot fault the lads, we are getting our just rewards."

"I've been honest. When we weren't getting the results we were not playing that badly. There was always no more than 12 points between us and 5th place, and now we are finding our form."

Folkestone Invicta recovered from Wednesday night's defeat at lowly Ashford with a 2-1 win at Ryman South leaders Worthing.

James Everitt's late penalty gave them the points to go to within a point of Croydon Athletic, who go top.

Manager Neil Cugley said: "We were very good. We haven't played well for a few weeks but today we were good, it's very pleasing. I had a moan after the Ashford game but the players have bounced back."

The relegation battle remains unchanged after none of the bottom four took a single point. It means Whitstable are still at the foot of the table. Three points separate the bottom four.

It was a day of shocks in the Kent league. The top three, Faversham, Herne Bay, and Sevenoaks, all lost.

It means Faversham are 13 points clear but Herne Bay have three games in hand.
