Finish line is in sight - Boston United's Paul Hurst
Danny Davidson scored his 13th goal of the season at Ashton.
Joint Boston manager Paul Hurst says he believes the Pilgrims now have the belief to win promotion.
Boston's 2-0 win at eight-placed Ashton on Saturday means they remain in second place in the UniBond Premier.
"I think they're beginning to believe in themselves a little bit more. They can see the finishing line in sight," Hurst told BBC Lincolnshire.
"We want to keep piling on pressure on those teams that have got the games in hand and are chasing us," he added.
Second-half goals from Danny Davidson and Spencer Weir-Daley secured victory for Boston and Hurst believes the win was another example of the team learning from its previous mistakes.
"They did play the conditions - previously they might have tried to play too much and got caught out so credit to them.
"It was never going to be a classic because of the pitch. It was a case of sticking to our task and grinding out a result and the lads did that. They listened to the instructions about putting it in the right areas and I think that's something they've improved on from earlier in the season."
