Boston rearrange Boxing Day game after King's Lynn fold
Boston United will host Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Unibond Premier Division on 26 December after their original opponents King's Lynn folded.
The Unibond League allowed the York Street fixture to be brought forward to Boxing Day from 20 March.
King's Lynn were wound up in the High Court in London on Wednesday.
Boston general manager John Blackwell told BBC Lincolnshire: "They were our nearest neighbours and with both doing well, it would have been a good match."
Stocksbridge were originally without a fixture on Boxing Day, as there were only 21 teams in the division, following the withdrawal of Newcastle Blue Star during the summer.
Blackwell added: "It was our idea when we knew that King's Lynn were in trouble to ask the league if we could play Stocksbridge.
"It's a tradition that clubs play in local derbies on Boxing Day but it's a big match whoever you play."
Meanwhile, the Pilgrims have been drawn away at Sheffield FC in the quarter finals of the Unibond Challenge Cup, with the tie to be played on Tuesday, 12 January.
