Lincoln City have taken former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Fox, 22, on trial.
Fox, who also had a trial period at League One side Exeter City, featured in the reserves' 4-0 victory over Hartlepool on Tuesday.
As he is under 24 Lincoln would have to pay compensation in any move as Celtic still hold the player's registration.
The Imps' current keeper Rob Burch has attracted attention from Premier League clubs Bolton and Burnley as well as Championship side Doncaster.
Lincoln manager Chris Sutton has strong links with the Scottish giants, having spent six seasons at Parkhead.
In that time the club won three Scottish Premier League titles, lifted the Scottish Cup three times and the Scottish League Cup once.
