Lincoln City's Moses Swaibu calls for fans' patience

Lincoln City defender Moses Swaibu has urged fans to stay behind the team as they battle to climb League Two.

The Imps produced a strong defensive display in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Crewe but they remain third from bottom and have not won in eight league games.

Swaibu, 20, told BBC Lincolnshire: "Looking at the league table, I can understand if fans are upset.

"But they need to get behind the team and urge us on because nobody wants to be at the bottom of the table."

Swaibu, who made his first start in five matches at the Alexandra Stadium, added: "The table doesn't lie but when you're down at the bottom things don't often go your way.

"When you're at the top, goals that you wouldn't usually score go in."
