Tadcaster Albion's pitch is only a few yards from the River Wharfe
Tadcaster Albion's Ings Lane ground has been flooded for the second time in 15 months, but their new clubhouse has again escaped the worst of the water.
As in September 2008, the pitch and car park are under water after the River Wharfe burst its banks.
Albion manager-chairman Paul Marshall told BBC Radio York: "It was quite frightening, really, to see first-hand how fast the water was actually running through the car park."
At its worst the waters were "halfway up the goalposts" with the deepest area on the south side of the sloped pitch.
Marshall is concerned for the team's title challenge in Northern Counties East League Division One, as they were top of the table until postponements elsewhere cost them the lead.
"At this time of year you just want to keep them going, we're on a good run," Marshall added.
Albion's home game against Leeds Carnegie on 5 December was flooded out and they are now focusing on the game against Rossington on 12 December, but, one week on from its peak, the Wharfe remains worryingly high.
The town's other pitches on the Ings are still under several feet of water and are likely to remain so for some time.
