Southport are top of the Blue Square North table following their 3-1 victory over local rivals Vauxhall Motors on Tuesday at the Motassist Arena.
Brain Moogan scored first for Motors with a 25-yard strike after 13 minutes.
The scoreline stayed the same until Sandgrounders striker Steve Daly levelled 19 minutes from time.
Defender Kevin Lee made it 2-1 three minutes from time and Robbie Booth completed the scoring to seal the points for Liam Watson's side.
