Southport manager Liam Watson believes his side will have to keep playing well if they are to keep the pressure on the tops sides in the Blue Square North.
The Sandgrounders face Harrogate Town on Saturday and Watson says his team will not have it all their own way.
"We're expecting a tough game as they [Harrogate] haven't had the best of starts," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"We'll have to get at the early doors and put them under some real pressure. Then we can try and build from there."
I'm sure he's got enough quality to go and get us 25 goals this season
Liam Watson on striker Ciaran Kilheeney
Southport striker Ciaran Kilheeney has scored five goals in five games so far this season and Watson is hoping his top marksman will continue to show his quality in front of goal.
"I've never doubted Ciaran," continued Watson. "He had a bad time last year with injuries and that's the only reason he fell away.
"I'm sure he's got enough quality to go and get us 25 goals this season."
Southport's match with Harrogate Town kicks off at 1500 BST on Saturday at Haig Avenue.
