Harrogate Town responded from their 5-0 drubbing at Droylsden to beat Redditch 3-2 for their third win of the season.
After Redditch took an early lead, goals from Simon Sturdy, Simon Harrison and Rory Coleman ensured a home win, despite Coleman's late dismissal.
Town boss Simon Weaver told BBC York: "It was very important for us to react in a positive way and we did that.
"It was a vital three points. It was a good team effort and I don't mind where the goals come from."
In fact they came from a centre-back and the two wing-backs, prompting Weaver to add: "We could do with the strikers getting on the scoresheet."
Coleman was sent off for an off-the-ball incident which Weaver said he did not see.
And he could not understand where the referee found seven-and-a-half minutes of stoppage time from as 10-man Harrogate hung on for the win.
"I think his watch stopped," Weaver said. "I asked him how long left, and he said there would be three minutes of stoppage time - seven-and-a-half minutes was frightening."
Weaver had some strong words for Coleman on his dismissal, but is still keen to extend his loan spell from Scunthorpe following three goals in four games.
"I'm communicating all the time with Scunthorpe. We're trying to get the best out of him and he's scored three goals now, and an assist on Saturday," he added.
