AFC Telford striker Matt Nolan has lined up a potential move to Ryman League North Lowestoft, while popular defender Jimmy Turner has been let go.
Nolan only joined Telford from Corby in the summer, and scored for the Bucks in the 1-0 bank holiday win at Gloucester.
"The guarantee of first-team football might be the lure," boss Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Long-serving Turner's departure has come after Telford brought in Shane Killock from Oxford United.
Nolan - brought in as a cover striker - had said he was prepared to fight for his place in the Telford team.
It's been the hardest decision I've ever had to make at this football club

But ambitious Lowestoft have targeted him, and Smith has allowed Nolan to speak to the Suffolk club.
"He might well be on his way," Smith added, "but that would free up some money and we would actively go out and get another striker."
The announcement that Turner has been released has surprised many supporters.
Turner joined the Bucks from Tamworth almost as soon as Smith took charge over four years ago, and the Telford manager admitted: "It's been the hardest decision I've ever had to make at this football club."
Telford play Harrogate on Saturday and midfielders Jon Adams (hamstring) and Jamie Vermiglio (groin) are expected to return from injury.
Defenders Lee Vaughan and Stuart Whitehead have also shrugged off minor knocks.
