Harrogate Town will be part of the Leeds City bid if England is successful in hosting the World Cup in 2018.
The Blue Square North club would offer training facilities for teams if Elland Road is selected as a World Cup venue.
Town's general manager Alan Williams told BBC Radio York: "It's a fantastic achievement for Harrogate Town to be even considered.
"We'll be part of the first bid and in a few weeks there'll be another one. It's a tremendous honour for the club."
Williams continued: "If England is successful in hosting the 2018 World Cup, cities across the country will be invited to make bids for their stadiums to be used as venues. If Elland Road in Leeds is successful, the CNG Stadium will be used as a base camp.
"We've run international matches before but this is something on a grand scale.
"What it can do for Harrogate Town is unbelievable. But it's not just us it's what it can do for Harrogate as a whole.
"If we get an international team that's taking part in the World Cup coming and using the CNG stadium as a base camp, then they're staying in the local hotels and the businesses and everything else that comes with it.
"The entourage that follows it can be tremendous for Harrogate, York and everything else in the surrounding area."
