Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver was happy with the 1-1 draw with Workington in Blue Square North.
It was Town's first draw of the season and Weaver said a point was good reward for his side's performance.
He told BBC Radio York: "It's always a hard place to come. It's a long journey and people have been working.
"We're very pleased with the performance, more than the point. I thought we could have deserved a win with the amount of possession we had."
Weaver praised the way his players reacted to Saturday's defeat by Eastwood Town and also to going a goal down at Workington.
"I said in pre-season that life is about how you react to disappointment and how long you feel down about it and let it affect you," said Weaver.
"I think you can see from my side so far we've got the spirit and we we will react in a positive fashion.
"Defensively I think we're looking pretty solid. We restricted them to one real opportunity which they took real well."
Harrogate now face Solihull Moors at the CNG Stadium in Blue Square North on Saturday.
Weaver added: "I've spoken to a couple of people about them and they felt they haven't really warranted the results they've had so far, in that they've been unlucky.
"We'll have to be aware as they do pose a threat. Every Saturday and Tuesday will be a test for us because there will be some experienced managers and teams and we've got to pass those tests."
