Whild is delighted to bring Moore back to Redditch
Redditch United manager Gary Whild has named former Reds striker Micky Moore as his new assistant following Carl Heggs' departure.
Boss Gary Whild told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Mickey is well known to the club and he's happy to join and be part of the team moving forward.
"He's used to working with younger players on the training ground and financially that's where we are."
Heggs left the Reds to take up the manager's role at King's Lynn.
Moore left his role at Stratford Town manager at the end of the season after failing to guide them from promotion out of the Midland Football Alliance.
Whild said: "Since I started working with him he has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to become a manager.
I have had a chat with most of the guys who finished last season so strongly for us and they have indicated they are happy to stop on

"In the time he has been with me he has been fantastic and has given me great support.
"He deserves his opportunity although he has got a tough job on his hands."
The Reds are not looking to make additions to their squad for the coming season but Whild is not unduly concerned about this.
The Valley Stadium club put in a tremendous finish to last season to pull well clear of the relegation places and Whild feels those players deserve another opportunity.
"I have had a chat with most of the guys who finished last season so strongly for us and they have indicated they are happy to stop on with us for next season," he said.
"Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to offer them contracts.
"They will be on a week-to-week deal with the club and unfortunately if somebody does come in and expresses an interest in them then they are free to leave.
"With the financial situation at the club, that is where we are."
